Learning together through Life, Love and Laughter...
At 4 Kids & Whanau, we take great pride in our childcare centre, which is open from 7:30am to 5:30pm and provides a friendly, safe environment for children aged 3 months until school age. Our goal goes far beyond just caring for and nurturing children; we strive to help them reach their fullest potential while they are with us.
We believe that children learn best through play, and we love to offer them opportunities to discover and explore. Our centre is designed to encourage independence, confidence and a love of learning through play-based activities. We believe that by empowering children to take risks and make their own choices, they can develop a sense of self-esteem and confidence that will serve them well in all areas of their lives.

Mixed-Aged Setting
4 Kids & Whanau welcomes children aged from 3 months to 5 years, and we encourage them to work together in the same spaces. One of the primary benefits of a mixed aged setting is that it promotes a sense of community and belonging. Younger children can learn from their older peers, while older children can develop a sense of responsibility and leadership. By working and playing together, children of all ages can build relationships and develop social skills that will serve them well throughout their lives.
Mixed aged settings also promote a love of learning and curiosity. By exposing children to a range of experiences, they can develop a sense of wonder and excitement about the world around them. This can inspire them to ask questions, explore new ideas, and take risks in their learning. By encouraging children to be curious and engaged, we can help them to develop a lifelong love of learning that will serve them well in all areas of their lives.
At 4 Kids & Whanau, we are proud to offer a mixed aged setting that promotes a sense of community, supports individual development, and encourages a love of learning. We invite you to explore our website and learn more about the benefits of mixed aged settings for children.

Inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach
We are inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to learning and development. The Reggio Emilia approach is an innovative and child-centred approach to education that is based on the principles of respect, responsibility, and community. We place a strong emphasis on the role of the child in their own learning and development. We believe that children are capable and resourceful individuals who have the ability to learn and develop through exploration, discovery, and inquiry. Our experienced and trained teachers act as guides and facilitators, providing a stimulating environment that supports children's natural curiosity and desire to learn.
Our teachers encourage children to express themselves in a variety of ways, including through art, music, drama, and storytelling. We believe that each child is unique and we celebrate their individual strengths, interests, and abilities. Our learning environment is carefully designed to be engaging and stimulating, with a variety of natural materials and resources that encourage exploration, creativity, and imagination.
We are affiliated with the Glenfield Baptist Church and implement Christian values into our curriculum. Our centre offers both Work and Income subsidies and the 20 Hours ECE subsidy.
